Three James Bond titles have disappeared from Steam and the Activision online store. Is this the doing of villains who have it out for 007? Or is something more nefarious at work?

Probably neither, but the games being pulled is still weird. Some folk are pointing to license expiration, but Activision's 2006 deal with MGM and EON was supposed to last until 2014. Since 2006, they've put out four 007 games, but the most recent title, 007 Legends, wasn't received very well critically. Perhaps the poor performance of the title led Activision to terminate the license early? No one knows for sure at this point.

Of course, the disappearance of 007 Legends, Blood Stone, and Quantum of Solace might leave fans of the spy both shaken and stirred, but no official word has come out from Activision.

We'll update you on the story as soon as more details emerge, but until then, keep an eye out for anymore mysteriously vanishing games.
