2013 Grammys Red Carpet Fashion – Rihanna Is Red Hot + Covered Up in Azzedine Alaia

Everyone was expecting sexpot Rihanna to thumb her nose and flash a two-fingered salute to the memo that warned against showing too much skin (since that's one of her specialties) by wearing a flesh-baring outfit. But RiRi actually covered up quite a at the 2013 Grammys.

That in and of itself shocked us. But her red hot dress, with its long, flowing train, was a stunner. Credit where it's due: She looked gorgeous.

Wearing her hair long, wavy and with honey brown highlights, she had on a red custom Azzedine Alaia dress, which the designer made just for her. She loved the color and the A-line cut, and she certainly worked it.

An up-close and personal look certainly showed that the fabric was a little bit see-through, so this wasn't a totally tame Rihanna. Just a classier one. Maybe we're just so used to seeing her topless on Instagram that any coverage at all would've been a welcome reprieve.
