Well, one of our crushes has slipped down the list a bit. Anderson Cooper – who always seems tidy and well put together – admitted on his show this week that even though he wears the pair of jeans every day, he only washes them a couple times a year.

This doesn’t seem right to us. But hey, it’s Anderson Cooper. He’s suave and smart and a little bit prissy. Maybe he’s just got the inside track on denim cleaning.

If anyone knows how it should be done, it’s Stacy London of ‘What Not to Wear.’ She was a guest host on Cooper’s daytime talk show when he copped to wearing skeevy jeans.

He explained how his day-to-day wardrobe lacks variety and told the style guru, “In my real life, I wear a t-shirt, gray or white, and the same pair of jeans. Literally, the same pair of jeans every day.”

But he made it sound like they're magical: “They have these jeans you don’t have to wash now – or so they say. It’s true!”

When his co-host wasn’t so sure about these new-fangled pants, he said, “I went to this store, APC, which has really nice stuff. And you buy these things and the person said to me, ‘Don’t wash them for a long time.’ They mean like six months, I think.”

This didn’t sit well with London, who rightly said she thought six months was a bit long to go between washings. She did, however, explain that to maintain “the integrity of your denim, you should wash it in cold water – no soap – and air dry it.” Which sounds more like "rinsing" to us, but whatever.

That’s when the truth came out. Cooper came clean – WE'RE NOT SORRY – and said he’s washed those daily jeans “maybe twice in six months.” Proving that he must not be a spiller, because if we didn't wash our jeans for six months they'd be completely covered in lattes and random types of fast food stains.

He then said his method for washing them is to wear them into the shower, rub some soap on them and then let them air dry. Which means at least twice a year, Anderson Cooper spends a few hours walking around in wet jeans.

Okay. Crush is back.
