Bradley Cooper is no stranger to dealing with women like girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, but -- in a move that's sure to make the ladies swoon over him even more than they already do -- he's also a very good son who takes care of his mother.

Bradley's mom Gloria moved in with the 'Hangover' star after his father Charles died of cancer in January 2011.

"Let's face it: It's probably not easy for her, by the way, to be living with her son. It's life. And right now, two years after my father's death, this is where we are," Bradley told Details.

"My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us. It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped. And we need each other. So here we are."

But being 2011's sexiest man alive and living with mom can be tough, too.

"It's not like I live in a compound and she's in the guesthouse. No. She's in the next room," he said.

"But here's the thing: She's a cool chick. We can hang, and she can roll with the punches. If that wasn't the case, there's no way."

These two would be awesome to get a drink with -- we're calling it.

He also said the death of his father made him confront his own mortality and come to terms with it. "Here it is. It's not in a book. It's not in a movie. It's not in a story that was told to me. It's not driving by an accident or watching it on TV. It's someone you love dying in front of you."

"I was like, 'Okay. This is death. And this is going to happen to me one day.' There was a huge freedom that came with that."

Bradley says that he's at a place in life where he's no longer sweating the small stuff, opting instead to enjoy it, and added that he's hopes being a parent is "part of [his] journey" someday because he saw how much happiness it brought to his father.

But are little Bradlukis (okay, fine, you come up with a better one) on the way? Well, considering Suki is only 20, there's still plenty of time to find out.
