Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans were admittedly nervous when the majority of FOX renewals came and went without mention of our favorite detectives. Thankfully, Jake, Amy, Terry, Boyle, Gina, Rosa and Captain Holt will keep the Nine-Nine open another year, as FOX officially puts them on the case.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Dan Goor-Mike Schur comedy is formally returning for Season 5, despite a modest audience, and the fact that major networks are eschewing series from external studios (Last Man on Earth is produced in-house). The series has also ably moved timeslots throughout the week, now airing on Tuesdays after an extended run on Sunday nights.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine isn’t quite finished airing Season 4, but the full roster will be back this fall, including Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti and Andre Braugher. And yes, presumably Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) and Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) as well.

FOX may change Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s schedule yet again, so stay tuned for the full Upfront presentation from the network next week.
