If you've listened to country music radio lately, you already know that today's artists have been heavily influenced by the southern rockers of the 60's and 70's like the Allman Brothers Band. So it only seems right that Gregg Allman will be honored by some of the biggest names in country music.

The tribute, called "Celebrating the Songs & Voice of Gregg Allman" sold out almost immediately. It will take place on Jan. 10, 2014 in Atlanta, GA. at the historic Fox Theatre. The Allman celebration will feature country stars Eric Church, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins and Brantley Gilbert from the country genre. Pat Monahan of Train, Natalie Cole, Jackson Browne, John Hiatt and several others are included in what turns out to be a rather eclectic group of musicians.

According to Church's website, "there will be surprise special guests, along with additional performers to be announced in the coming weeks." GRAMMY Award-winning musicians Don Was and Warren Haynes will lead the band and take on the role of co-musical directors.

While it is sold out, word is that this epic event will be filmed and released later in the year.
