‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Releases First Poster of Christian Grey
Talk about building buzz! We're over a year away from the release of the hotly anticipated big screen version of 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' but Universal is already trying to stoke the fires for the film by releasing a poster in five cities tomorrow, spotlighting the back of its Christian Grey, Jamie Dornan.
Here's the poster in full, courtesy EW:
This billboards will be released tomorrow in New York (at Grand St. and 6th Ave), Los Angeles (Wilshire Blvd. and Gayley), Chicago (LaSalle and Hubbard), San Francisco (Mission St. and 6th), and Seattle (1st St. and Wall St.), but in a format likely too large to be stolen.
It's been a long, long time since a movie has released a teaser poster for a film due out more than a year later and we're scratching our heads trying to think of the last one (maybe an event film like 'Jurassic Park,' or possibly 'Godzilla,' which had a teaser trailer made a year before the film came out), but this seems a response to the great success 'The Hunger Games' had in announcing every little detail about the production beforehand. On top of which the book does involve BDSM, so its fans are likely to enjoy the teasing and delayed gratification. 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is set to hit theaters February 13, 2015.
