Throw another movie franchise on the TV remake pile, as it seems Paramount Television looks to resurrect Patrick Swayze classic 'Ghost' on the small screen. 'Fringe' alumni Jeff Pinkner and Akiva Goldsman have been tasked with conjuring a pilot for the latest TV reboot, but what network would a potential 'Ghost' TV series land on?

No network has yet been attached to the project, though Pinkner and Goldsman will co-write the pilot remake of the 1990 film, which itself won Oscars for Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Whoopi Goldberg. The film was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Film Editing and Best Original Score.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Akiva and Jeff, two deeply creative and accomplished talents, on the television adaptation of this classic supernatural drama,” Paramount Television President Amy Powell said in a statement announcing the news. Meanwhile, those unfamiliar with the film would do well to learn that Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze co-starred in the film, which saw Swayze's character Sam trapped as the titular ghost in a plot that involved bank fraud, and implausible pottery-making. Look, it was a long time ago, okay?

What say you? This certainly won't be the last movie-to-TV reboot we see in the near future, but would you be on board for a 'Ghost' TV series? Check out the original trailer below, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
