It seems overdue.  EMI Records has announced a massive reissue campaign that will kick off this Fall for the Pink Floyd catalog.  The reissues will include deluxe editions, box sets,  and multiple configurations of the albums 'Dark Side Of The Moon', 'Wish You Were Here', and 'The Wall'.

In addition to the albums themselves, fans can feast on DVD's with rare concert footage, interviews, and music videos from the vaults.  Multiple formats include Blu Ray, SACD, DVD, and vinyl.  The Pink Floyd catalog has been out of print on vinyl for years, with the exception of 'Dark Side Of The Moon'.  I'm really looking forward to those vinyls.

As far as a schedule, the first round is set for September 26th with the reissue of 'Dark Side Of The Moon'.  You can get it in a 6-disc super deluxe edition box set that includes a concert of the entire album, or a 2-disc set with rarities and outtakes.  Plus for vinyl fans a nice collectors' LP with lots of extras.

The campaign will continue on November 7th with 'Wish You Were Here' and finally, fans can dive into 'The Wall' on February 27th of next year.

I'm summarizing and skimming all of this information to give you an overview.  There are more box sets included in this huge undertaking.  You can see all the detail at EMImusic.com .  And to whet your appetite, the video of 'Comfortably Numb' from the only Pink Floyd reunion in well over a decade, back in 2005:
