‘State of Shock’ vs. ‘Dancing in the Streets’ – Clash of the Titans

30 years ago this month, the frontman for the world's biggest rock band, Mick Jagger, released a duet named 'State of Shock' with Michael Jackson, the most successful pop artist in history. About a year later, Jagger teamed up with another music legend, David Bowie, to record a cover of the Motown classic 'Dancing in the Street.' So... which duet is better? That's up to you to decide, in this week's Clash of the Titans.

Arriving during a lull between the Rolling Stones' 'Undercover' and 'Dirty Work' albums in the early '80s, these two singles remain Jagger's highest-charting solo hits.

'State of Shock' gave Jagger a best-ever No. 3 solo U.S. hit in 1984, while 'Dancing in the Streets' found Jagger and Bowie working their way up to Billboard's No. 7 position in 1985. 'Dancing,' originally a 1964 hit for Martha and the Vandellas, also topped the UK charts.
