Though many of the biggest films of 2015 have chosen their potential release dates, few have filled up their casts, with many just offering casting rumors. The latest to tease its lead is Edgar Wright's 'Ant-Man,' with the rumor being that Marvel is high on both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd.

This comes from Variety, which says another name could come into play, but these are the frontrunners. Levitt's name is not all that surprising as he's one of the most respected and sought-after actors in that age range. Of course, Marvel has already tried to snag him for its upcoming 'Doctor Strange' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' films, reportedly, with no avail. In addition, he's already dipped his toe in comic book movies with his turn in 'The Dark Knight Rises,' but though that film set up a spinoff movie, Warner Bros. is going in a different direction.

Paul Rudd is the more surprising choice. Though he's done serious work before, he's made a name for himself in comedies ever since 2001's 'Wet Hot American Summer' showed his goofy side, and though one would expect Wright's 'Ant-Man' to have quite a bit of humor, Rudd has never done an action movie. Perhaps the thinking is that this is like putting Robert Downey Jr. in the role of Iron Man.

'Ant-Man' is scheduled to be released July 31, 2015, so expect to hear a decision shortly.
