Journey has postponed five concerts after singer Arnel Pineda was diagnosed with severe laryngeal and esophageal inflammation. The rockers were scheduled to play dates through the Midwest this weekend and early next week, but won't take the stage again until Nov. 16 in Milwaukee, Wisc.

Tonight's show at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. is the first to be postponed. The venue website announced the news, stating that Pineda is under doctor's orders not to perform for the next week. The postponements have also been explained on the band's official website.

The five concerts are expected to be rescheduled for January or February 2013. In addition to the Evansville date, Saturday's show in Grand Rapids, Mich., Sunday's show in Fort Wayne, Ind., Tuesday's (Nov. 13) show in Moline, Ill. and Wednesday's (Nov. 14) show in Sioux City, Iowa have all been moved.

Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo and Loverboy are also on the bill for all five shows, as they have been for the entire tour. This is the second show time in 10 days the groups have had to rearrange their schedules. The Oct. 30 at the Barclays Center in New York City was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy.
