The LBJ State Park will celebrate it's 45 annual Christmas lighting tradition on December 21st in Stonewall, Texas (just outside of Fredericksburg). It's a family event that is both fun and educational.

The event includes an open house at the Sauer-Beckmann German Farm that features a candlelit Christmas tree and home baked goodies, a live nativity scene, live music from the Community Band of Fredericksburg and area schools, the lighting of the live cedar tree, carolers, kid's activities and a visit from Santa.

This is not only a Christmas tradition but one rich in history. The park covers the ancestry and heritage of our 36th President, Lyndon B. Johnson, from birth to Presidency to death. Take tours of the grounds as they are decorated in holiday flare.

The events are from 5 pm - 9 pm with the Christmas tree lighting at 6 pm. For more information see their Facebook page or the park website.
