Over the course of her more-than 40-year career, Deborah Feingold has photographed many of the biggest names in popular culture. On Sept. 30, she will release 'Music,' the first-ever compilation of her work.

The photo of Mick Jagger at the top of this page graces the cover. Feingold was kind enough to give us this preview, as well as the story behind how she got the shot.

"We turned up the music and Mick immediately started posing. It was going great and I was feeling fantastic, which of course is when it all started to fall apart. I heard a crackle and then a loud pop behind me as I watched my main light explode. I panicked knowing how interruptions can change the flow of a shoot."

"I apologized and explained to Mick that it would take a few minutes to replace the light and asked him to stay on set. As I directed my assistants behind me, I never took my eyes off of him. And it was just out of the corner of my eye that I saw this shot. Indeed, I kept my eye on the prize."

With 108 pages and a foreword by Grammy award-winning critic Anthony DeCurtis, 'Music' features photographs of Bono, Joey Ramone, Keith Richards, Prince and many others. You can learn more about the book and pre-order it at Amazon.
