We can understand why Miley Cyrus gets fed up with paparazzi, but her latest move against them has set tongues wagging even more than her own at the 2013 VMAs. Cyrus claims to have called a pap the c-word, then took to Twitter to brag about it.

Yesterday (Sept. 4), Cyrus wrote, "Just called this paparazzi a c--t. So before he makes breaking 'news' out if it. I'll just say it. Ha-Ha #[C--t]."

Cyrus seems especially proud of her use of the swear word, but provided no real context for it -- making some followers wonder if there was really any point or controversy at play, or whether Cyrus just wanted to reach some more for her new "edgy" persona.

Whatever the point was, the unspoken and perhaps subconscious purpose of Cyrus' tweet was likely to get attention -- and it's clearly working. Not only did the c-word tweet receive close to 39,000 retweets and almost 47,000 favorites at press time, but Cyrus' songs 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball' keep climbing the charts. Stay thirsty, everyone!
