Update at 4:20pm - CNN reports that 2 suspects are now in custody and

An unidentified Lone Star College student who says she witnessed some of the shooting told CNN affiliate KHOU that an argument between two people preceded the gunfire.

A gunman, she said, told someone: "I don't want to fight you; I'm not trying to go to jail."

The witness appeared to reference only one gunman; it wasn't clear whether she saw a second gunman. She said he "actually turned away from the situation" at first but eventually pulled a gun out of a backpack. She said she heard about nine shots.

"I think it was a bunch of crap that could've been resolved and never should have gone that far," the witness said.

Update at 2:59pm - Texas Gov. Rick Perry is being briefed about the situation by law enforcement personnel, Perry spokesman Josh Havens said.

“(Perry’s) thoughts and prayers are with those that have been impacted,” Havens said. “We have nothing more to add at this point, but the governor will continue to closely monitor the situation.”

Update at 2:16pm - CNN also reports that a 'someone' has suffered a heart attack.

Update at 1:52pm - CNN reports that the shooting was initiated between 2 people and those injured were caught in a 'crossfire'. One suspect was wounded and in custody, the 2nd is still 'on the loose'.

Update at 1:43pm - Multiple outlets are reporting that at least 3 people, possibly including suspect, have been shot. Reports of a second suspect have surfaced as well.

A student told Eyewitness News she heard five shots, and they sounded as if they occurred outside, in an area between the library and the cafeteria. Other students say they heard gunshots when they were in cafeteria.

Medical crews could be seen tending to at least three victims outside the building. Their conditions are not known. At least one gunshot was taken by ground ambulance to Ben Taub Hospital. It's not known where the second gunshot victim is being treated.
