New Streaming Service Offers Live Gov’t Mule, Black Crowes and More

Nugs.net, the digital music service whose catalog consists of live performances from a wide variety of artists, has launched a subscription streaming component offering more than 10,000 shows from a list of acts that includes Gov't Mule, the Black Crowes and Phil Lesh.

Continuing its dedication to "renowned road warriors who have the most rabid fans," the company announced its latest venture with a press release heralding launch offerings that include "a passel of shows from the most recent Halloween -- always one of the most anticipated music nights of the year" as well as "more than 50 classic Halloween shows from the vaults."

Available now for iOS and Android devices, nugs.net's streaming service offers new account holders a free seven-day trial, following which pricing is $12.99 per month or $129.99 a year for unlimited access to the app's catalog of live sets. Non-subscriber users will be able to access "a rotating selection of featured shows, plus a free stream of nugs.net radio, a 24x7 playlist of cherry-picked live tracks from nugs.net's extensive archives."

Umphrey's McGee, Widespread Panic and Pearl Jam are just a few of the artists whose nugs.net catalogs can be found via the app, though as of this writing, a handful of popular acts — including Phish, who have their own app — are unavailable. The service also offers an array of features that includes offline playback, playlists and social sharing, as well as a 24x7 radio component and weekly featured shows.

"For the fan of live music, there's never been an easier way to have all of your favorite concerts at your fingertips," reads a portion of the press release. "The nugs.net app lets you choose that epic show from your favorite band's tour, or find the best sets from back in the day. With the nugs.net app, fans can revisit their favorite performances with ease and keep up with last night's show."
