Just in case you can't seem to get your fill of Pikmin 3 action, some downloadable content for the game's Mission Mode is coming.

During today's Nintendo Direct stream, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata announced that Pikmin 3 was going to get bits of DLC to beef up its objective-based Mission Mode. The DLC is set to be released in a series of "rounds". The first round, called the "Collect Treasure" Pack, will feature Stages 7-10 and will cost $1.99 in the Nintendo eShop. The Pack was made available following the stream.

Iwata also announced an update to Pikmin 3 that improves the ranking features on the Global Rankings leaderboard. This makes it so that you'll be able to see the highest scores around the world. Iwata ended the Pikmin 3 announcements by saying that they will offer a free Mission Mode stage to anyone who has been playing Pikmin 3.

We'll update you as soon as more news about the next rounds of DLC are announced. Until then, update your game and head on over to the eShop to get the "Collect Treasure" Pack.
