The Beach Boys are expected to announce a string of dates for their 50th anniversary tour tomorrow, February 15th.  In the meantime, they've revealed that they have four news songs ready to go for the forthcoming album set for later this year.

The 2012 Grammy awards featured something for just about everyone last night (February 12th, 2012).  Fans of music old and new had a wealth of performances during the presentations.  Adele took home six awards, the Foo Fighters scored five.  And the performers ranged from the much anticipated return of Adele, to the sounds of a reunited Beach Boys.

It's pretty much official.  Al Jardine said yesterday (December 13th) that the Beach Boys will play at the Grammy Awards show in February of 2012.  The appearance had been rumored to be happening, and the surviving members were expected to appear at the Grammy nominations show last month, but couldn't work out the details.

Looks like it could be the Beach Boys, not Van Halen, who are going to make big news by reuniting at the Grammy Awards this year. Rumors were flying at breakneck pace around the music business that Van Halen were to make some major announcement at the nominations telecast. Brian Wilson was on hand at 'Fingerprints Records' in Long Beach, California on November 1st to sign copies of the new 'Smile Sessions' release for fans.  Capitol Records turned the store into a real life version of the album cover for the event on the day of it's release, and fans lined up to meet Brian and get his autograph.
