Valentine's Day is in a few days, which means school parties for the kiddos! I always try to bring an extra special treat for my son's class and this year, I found something that is super easy and cute.

Who doesn't love chocolate? Chocolate makes just about everything taste better! Chocolate on strawberries, bananas, ice cream and pretzels! Chocolate covered bacon even sounds good!

Cooler weather is here! Next week the forecast is calling for our first freeze! With the colder weather coming, I can't help but think of foods that warm you up.

The last couple of months I've been featuring easy, tasty recipes like Mexican Shells and Mini S'mores Poppers in my 'Shay's Weekly Recipe'. I enjoy cooking and finding new things to try so I need your help with some new recipes. Plus, five of the recipes emailed to me will be published in our pamphlet which will be handed out at our Taste of Home Cooking School.

I've made a couple of versions of Mexican cornbread but this version is a meal in it's self. With ground beef, beans, cheese and more. All you need to add is a salad and your dinner is ready. I honestly don't remember where I found this recipe but an online search will bring up any number of variations on this recipe. This particular one is really simple and fast to make.

My family eats a lot of chicken. It's good, it's versatile, and it cooks quickly. I've recently found 3 or 4 really good new recipes using chicken. This one I made last weekend and there were no leftovers. That's always a good sign!

I've been trying to share some good but easy recipes with you because we are all busy and need good food fast. School is back in session, extracurricular activities have begun, homework takes over the evenings and you just want to sit down and breathe for 5 minutes. This is my easiest recipe yet!

This weekend I found a most sinful recipe and had to try it. It's called Rolo Cheesecake Bars and it is so good it will make you slap your grandma; a little something my grandparents used to say. I've included some photos and the recipe so you too can slap your grandma (however, we do not condone violence so please don't really do that).

A few weeks ago a couple of co-workers sent me a recipe they wanted me to make so they could try it. I've been making baked goods and bringing them to the office so I'm now the 'official baker' around here I suppose.
