I thought that I had seen all the creative and unusual ways to color Easter eggs. Then I saw this. No one has an explanation of really how this works, but using silk fabrics to dye your Easter eggs is easy and the results are amazing.

I've heard that this technique has been around for a very long time and comes from Germany. In fact, I've heard that people have been coloring eggs this way in their families for generations.

In this video, use squares of silk fabric are used. They mention that in the past they've used men's ties but that could get really expensive really quick.

I love this idea because the silk fabric not only colors the eggs but the designs are beautiful too. The only thing I'm not sure of is what the fabric looks like when it's done. Do you think you can reuse it?
