This Thursday's Abilene Art Walk (April 14th) will be extra festive. You can enjoy an authentic Cajun crawfish boil to benefit the Abilene Education Foundation.

The food will be prepared by Two Daddy's Crawfish out of Bossier City, Louisiana. We're talkin' the real deal here. For just $10 you can dig into crawfish, shrimp, corn-on-the-cob, potatoes and a drink. Kids under twelve can enjoy the fest for $5.  Get advance tickets at One AISD Center or grab them at the dinner on the corner of North 4th and Cypress.

In addition to the food, there will be plenty of activities for the whole family as is usual during Artwalk.  The Abilene High Steel Drum Band will perform as will Cooper High's Jazz Band.  And there will be art work from AHS and CHS students displayed in the windows of Bogie's and inside the Center For Contemporary Arts.

Artwalk is always rewarding, and most of the activities downtown are free.  The Grace Museum will be open along with our historic Paramount Theater.  Weather is expected to be absolutely perfect with temperatures in the 80s.

If you haven't been to an Art Walk in awhile, this one is the one you don't want to miss.  The event runs from 5 to 8 pm this Thursday, April 14th. Laissez le bon temps rouler! (via Center-arts.com)
