The blizzard wreaking havoc throughout the Northeast may cause some trouble in the sports world.

The Boston Bruins will host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday, which should go off without a hitch, since the Lightning are already in Beantown. However, the real trouble may take place after the game, when the Bruins have to head to Buffalo to meet the Sabres on Sunday night.

The Celtics are slated to host the Nuggets on Sunday, but it remains to be seen if the Nuggets will be able to fly into Boston.

Meanwhile, the college ranks have already canceled some games. Hockey East has postponed eight games set for Friday and Saturday, with the earliest possible makeup scheduled for Sunday.
