They say clothes make the man. This photo would indicate they may have been saying that for thousands of years.

This is a picture of what is believed to be the world's oldest pants.

These wool pants -- estimated to be about 3,300 years old -- were recently dug up by researchers with the German Archaeological Institute in China's Tarim Basin.

They claim the finding "supports the idea that trousers were invented for horse riding by mobile pastoralists."

Yeah, well, we wonder if the tears were made over time or was it just a fashionable look the world's first Gap tried to sell to ancient man?
