Hurricane Relief Benefit This Sunday in Abilene
Hurricane Harvey has come, gone, and left a path of destruction. It'll take weeks, months, and years to rebuild the areas destroyed by this massive storm. While some relief efforts are just a distant memory, others are still fighting strong for those on the coast.
This Sunday will be a hurricane relief event coordinated between many local businesses here in Abilene.
First off, "Abilene Bars for South Texas" are currently accepting donations to be given to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Whether it's money, clothing, food, water, or more - you can drop your donation off at these local bars:
- Fatboy's
- The Pourhouse
- Brew-Buckets
- BBQ Barn
- The Saloon
- The Western Edge
- The Hour Glass
- Shooters
- Lonestar
- The Cabaret
- My Place
- The Station
- Spanky P's
- The Legacy
- The Firehouse Bar & Grill
Then, this Sunday we'll start the day off with a motorcycle poker run. Registration begins at 9am at Fatboy's, at 525 Arnold, with kickstands up at 10am. Following the poker run, we'll all meet at the Firehouse Bar & Grill, at 2074 Butternut, for live music and more.
There will be brisket plates sold for $10 - with all proceeds going to the benefit. The live auction is from 2-5pm, with live music from 5-9pm. The rock band, 360, will be performing.
To top it all off, there will be a raffle for a 2006 Harley-Davidson Road King. Raffle tickets are only $20 each.
Make plans to attend. We'll have a great time for a GREAT cause.
