Teacher Tribute gives school children the opportunity to honor and champion their favorite teacher. Many teachers go above and beyond in assisting kids in school and some children that may be having problems at home. Those teachers, make lasting impressions on a students' life.

With that, a student from headstart through high school can bring attention to that certain educator, coach, or counselor. The letters are then sent to the Teacher Tribute board of judges and several are selected to be honored for their contribution to that child's life as well as all the other students that the educator impacts.

Arrow Ford auto dealership founded the Teacher Tribute. It is actually the brainchild of Seaton Higginbotham President/owner of Arrow Ford.

The Teacher Tribute winners are then showered with praise and prizes from the media community and area businesses like Arrow Ford, which started the Teacher Tribute program. The media that participates are KEAN-105 where the winning teacher and student will guest on the radio and share their story.

Then there's KTXS TV, where the winning teacher and student will guest live on the morning news on KTXS channel 12 TV. The others include Hispanic Life magazine, where the story will be shared with its readers. Finally, there's  Lamar Billboards who'll post the winner's photo on a billboard, and local business Exceptional Brands brings gift cards from their local restaurants.

The biggest prize comes when the Arrow Ford spokesperson reveals that the Teacher Tribute winner gets a $100 check, some more gift cards, and a brand-new car to drive for a specific time. The nominating student will also receive some prizes and gift cards.

Any student can nominate any teacher that has helped them above and beyond the normal expectation of a teacher's responsibility. To nominate your teacher, simply get one of the Teacher Tribute nomination forms from your school's office, or go to ArrowFord.com/TeacherTribute. Tell us why your teacher should be recognized.
