Texas' Most Wanted Repeat Offender Finally Captured in San Antonio

A fugitive from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted List, Clarence Enyi Mfor, was arrested in San Antonio on March 2, 2025. Mfor, a 37-year-old illegal immigrant from Cameroon, had been wanted since January for sexual assault charges out of Bexar County. His capture resulted from investigative efforts by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Special Agents assigned to the Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) Center.

A History of Arrests and Releases

Mfor's criminal record spans several years and multiple arrests beginning in 2019 when U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Mfor in California for alien inadmissibility. Then, in May of 2023, The Leon Valley Police Department arrested him for assault causing bodily injury to a family member. Later in May 2023, ICE arrested him in San Antonio for failing to possess valid immigration documents. He was AGAIN released from detention. Now in January 2025, a warrant was issued for his arrest in Bexar County, San Antonio on sexual assault charges.

Despite previous arrests, Mfor repeatedly secured bond releases and evaded law enforcement. His status as a fugitive led DPS to place him on the Texas 10 Most Wanted List, at one point offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

Arrest Without a Reward Payout

Authorities located and arrested Mfor through routine law enforcement operations rather than public tips, meaning no Crime Stoppers reward will be paid. His capture adds to the growing number of arrests in 2025, with DPS reporting 13 fugitives, including three sex offenders and four criminal illegal immigrants, taken into custody so far this year.

How the Public Can Help

Texas Crime Stoppers continues to offer cash rewards for tips leading to fugitive arrests. To report information, tipsters can:

  • Call 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website
  • Use the “Submit a Tip” feature on DPS’ Facebook page
All tips remain anonymous, and those providing information receive a tip number instead of using their name.

DPS works closely with local law enforcement to track down fugitives listed on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Lists. A full list of wanted individuals, including photos and charges, is available on the DPS website.

Authorities warn that these fugitives are considered dangerous. Law enforcement advises against approaching them and urges the public to report any information immediately.
