Even though the NFL Pro Bowl will be much different this year, it's still an accolade that highlights the best players in the league. As it turns out, the Dallas Cowboys will have 7 players represent the star as the best players in the league.

On Wednsday night (December 21st) the NFL announced the players for the NFC and AFC. On the NFC side, the Dallas Cowboys have some of the usual suspects that made it but there are a few first-timers on the list.

Zack Martin

Zack Martin will go to the Pro Bowl for the 8th time in his 9-year career. The menacing offensive lineman has been stellar wearing the star. The great Larry Allen is the only offensive lineman to have more Pro Bowl appearances than Martin.

Micah Parsons

It's no surprise that Parsons makes his second trip to the Pro Bowl. The dude is an absolute beast. He can rush the passer, cover receivers, and stop the run like nobody's business. He's all over the field! I've said it before and I'll say it now, Parsons will likely be one of the greatest Dallas Cowboys of all time.

DeMarcus Lawrence

D-Law makes his third Pro Bowl appearance and the first one in 3 years. After enduring some injuries over the past few seasons, Lawrence is back to form and punishing offensive linemen all over the league.

CeeDee Lamb

The shifty receiver makes his second appearance in the Pro Bowl. Lamb, who made it in as an alternate last season, currently has 1,087 receiving yards which is 8th in the NFL and 3rd in the NFC among wide receivers.

Trevon Diggs

The brother of standout Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs makes his second appearance in the Pro Bowl. Trevon is the first Cowboys cornerback to make consecutive appearances since the great Deion Sanders.

Tony Pollard

Pollard, who is not even the starting running back, makes his first appearance in the Pro Bowl. He has only started 3 games but has amassed 969 yards and boasts a 5.5 average yards per carry. The dude is just scary good. I've said it before, I think he should start over Ezekiel Elliott. I'm just saying.

KaVontae Turpin

Turpin is the first Dallas Cowboys to make the Pro Bowl as a punt/kick returner. Even though he has not taken one to the house, he is the only NFL player this year to have a punt return and a kick return of 50+ yards. I still think he'll break one before the season is done.

What's Different About The Pro Bowl This Year?

Well for starters, an actual game will not be played this year. Let's be honest, has an actual game been played in recent years? Not really. The Pro Bowl has been a joke for a long time as players just don't seem interested in actually playing the game, fearing that they will injure themselves.

Instead, the Pro Bowl will have a variety of different challenges for the players and will be hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning. Now dubbed The NFL Pro Bowl Games, it will take place on Sunday, February 5th on ESPN.

I ...uh...can't wait.
