According to WFAA, a woman (Rani Banerjee) and her three friends were leaving a restaurant Thursday evening when another woman approached the group and started yelling racial slurs at the 4 women.

The woman, Upton, was arrested and charged with assault bodily injury as well as terroristic threats. However, her bond was only set at $10,000.

That's when Banerjee started recording the incident:

Banerjee started recording the incident with her phone. The woman, who was identified by Plano police as Esmeralda Upton, shouted racial slurs and began hitting Banerjee. [WFAA]

You can watch the interaction in the video below. Do you agree that Upton was out of line or were the 4 victims the cause of the interaction? Well, the video speaks for itself. Watch.

After watching the video, I grabbed my popcorn and cruised through the comments and they were quite mixed in opinions.

One lady said "She's drunk and not in her sense. She might had a bad day! I am not defending the lady in black but still I would say... forgive her."

Another stated that "it’s sad we still have to say Indian people and we can’t just say AMERICANS!" while another said, "I am so sorry this happened to you❤️❤️❤️ no one deserves that ever!".

Then, of course, there was quite a bit of language that was not suitable for any website.

This kind of stuff must end. You don't have to like everyone, but sometimes it's better just to keep your mouth shut and move on. This lady, though, is learning that lesson the hard way as she now faces, at the minimum, steep attorney fees.

In the words of, well, me...Be a Good Human.

Edit: An earlier version of this article mentioned the incident happening in Houston. That was incorrect. The location was in Plano.
