You Won’t Believe How Big The Largest Pizzas In Texas Are

Texas is known for big things, and we've found some pizza's that measure up.

Texas Pizza Is Huge!

Texas is not know for it's pizza. I have no doubts that we make some excellent pizza's around here, but I've never in my life heard someone say, "I'm sure in the mood for a Texas pizza". None of this could keep Texas from making a number of Texas sized pizzas though.

The Certified Largest Pizza In Texas

Let's start with the world record pizza. That does belong to a Texas pizza location by the name of Moontower Pizza Bar in Crowley, Texas. To add some clarity, it's "The World's Largest Commercially Available Pizza" which means you could order it right now, but they do require a 48 hour notice. This pizza comes in at eight feet by two feet! It's known as "The Bus" due to it's rectangular shape. They even have custom boxes to deliver it to your house. It'll run you about $300, but if you're looking to make an impression, Moontower is the the way to go.

The Largest Round Pizza In Texas

Let's also not forget Dirt Road Cookers out of Hondo, Texas, who also put together an eight-foot road pizza. They also claim to have the world's biggest pizza, but have probably not had their claim certified (it's a whole process, trust me). Dirt Road Cookers has a more traditional round shape.

Lastly, I don't know if you'd call it more "manageable" but you could head to Big Lou's Pizza in San Antonio, "Home Of The 42" Pizza". Keep in mind, 42" is nearly 4' and this pizza is more than enough to cover an entire table top.

So who get's the "Big In Texas" award for "Biggest Pizza In Texas"? Who cares? I'd saddle up next to any of these delicious looking pies!
