Ladies and gentlemen, a new Texas millionaire has been announced. Once again, the lucky winner scored their winnings on a scratch-off.

I’m starting to feel like a broken record writing about all the Texas Lottery winners here lately. But I must admit that’s a great problem to have. Yes, our lottery has been quite generous here in 2025.

Where the Winning Ticket Was Bought

The latest lucky Texan hit the jackpot on a ticket in the Extreme Multiplier game. The anonymous Arlington resident bought the lucky scratch-off at QuikTrip #950, located at 701 W. Harris Road, in Arlington, according to a press release.

The lottery isn’t finished doling out millions with Extreme Multiplier. The winning ticket is just the first of four $1 million winning tickets. If you’re willing to plop down $20 on a scratch-off, the odds of winning a prize in the game are one in 3.75, including break-even prizes. Those are some pretty good odds, so it might be worth a try.

It’s been well over a decade since I last purchased a scratch-off. However, every time I write about someone scoring a million bucks with one, I move that much closer to giving in and buying one. Which also means I get that much closer to most likely losing my money. I hate to be so pessimistic, but that’s just my luck.
