For the second time in just four months, a North Texas man is facing online solicitation and sexual assault charges towards a minor. The kicker? He still had his ankle monitor on during this second encounter.

The First Arrest of Eduardo Martinez

Fox4 includes reports on the case, such as the fact that 25-year-old Eduardo Martinez was originally charged for online solicitation of a minor/sexual conduct in October 2024.

This arose after a YouTube channel conducted their own independent sting operation on Martinez. They had him believing he was in contact with a 14-year-old girl which he eventually agreed to meet for a sexual encounter.

Martinez was caught and arrested in October thanks to the evidence provided by the YouTube channel, and was released on bond with an ankle monitor shortly after.

Martinez’s Second Arrest

Just three months later on Jan. 29, 2025, Martinez was arrested yet again after a 16-year-old girl came forward with accusations that the two engaged in a brief sexual relationship. Martinez allegedly initiated the contact by reaching out to the minor via social media.

When asked why he is wearing an ankle monitor, Martinez told her he was tricked into meeting an underage girl who lied about her age, according to Fox4.

The 16-year-old girl was able to identify Martinez’s car, a white pickup truck, and officials were able to locate the vehicle thanks to a flock search

Flock refers to camera technology used by law enforcement in scanning and identifying the back of passing vehicles.

When Martinez was caught and placed in custody, officers found at least four sexually-explicit videos with him and the teenager on his phone, Fox4 reports.

To date, Martinez was indicted for the first charge from October, but he is held in the Tarrant County Jail on a $500,000 bond for the second charge.
