Details revealed by YourBasin come the Odessa Police Department themselves. The law enforcement agency stated that the 14 year old victim, unnamed at the time of writing, told police the crime took place overnight May 25th to the next day of May 26th. The victim underwent a Sexual Assault Nurse Exam, and DNA evidence was collected.

This August, the DNA was identified from a male from the Texas Department of Public Safety. In addition, the test revealed the DNA is very likely from Johnson:

"The probability of obtaining this profile if the DNA came from Johnson is 278 octillion times greater than the probability of obtaining this profile if the DNA came from an unrelated, unknown individual."

Following his arrest on August 17th, Johnson was taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. At the time of writing, he remains there on a $30,000 bond.

As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
