
Texas High School Now Evacuated As Bomb Threat Cancels Classes
Georgetown, Texas High School has been evacuated, and all classes are cancelled as bomb sniffing dogs and a massive police presence began searching every inch of the campus in response to a bomb threat. The first responder activity began about 8 AM this morning as no chances were being taken to assure that not only students, staff, and faculty are safe as well as the community as a whole.

According to this KVUE article, around 8:15 this morning, Georgetown ISD made a post on social media alerting parents and students that the entrances had been locked down, and to avoid campus until further notice as all classes were called off.

A little after noon, word began spreading among students and parents that an all clear had been given and even though classes will continue to be out for today, all of the extracurricular activities scheduled for later today will go on as planned.

Obviously it is a very good relief to all attached to Georgetown High School that the bomb threat turned out to be non credible, and we must applaud all of the first responders who rushed to the scene and were able to give an all clear in only about four and a half hours.
Hopefully, we will soon be able to learn the cause of all the panic, and situations like this in Texas can be avoided in the future.
