Alex Trebek is a cultural institution, a beacon of knowledge and grace under pressure. Everyone loves him. Which is why it’s always amusing to watch the unflappable host of Jeopardy say silly words and phrases in that reliable deadpan of his. A recent episode of the immortal game show saw him forced to say the name “Turd Ferguson,” which should amuse anyone with a passing knowledge of modern comedy.
Longtime 'Jeopardy' host Alex Trebek has a way with words ... or, at least, as Conan O'Brien imagines it, he has a way with saying his words. Trebek's consistent cadence makes it incredibly easy for Conan to splice together the game-show host's clues into a parody video of absolute gibberish, accompanied by a pack of slack-jawed contestants. Alex Trebek was mad, REALLY mad when a burglar broke into his hotel room earlier this week (July 25th). In fact he was mad enough to chase down the burglar. He didn't catch her. Trebek injured an achilles tendon in his chase and fell, injuring the other leg. The female burglar was actually caught, arrested, and charged in the attempt at the San Francisco hotel.
