Gas prices in Texas rise by 12 cents, causing financial strain for consumers.

Things are getting better are far as gas prices go, but there’s still a way to go to get back to where they were a year ago.

A Valero station in Los Angeles had a little computer problem when keying in the gas price and sold premium...at a minimum. The price was $1.10 a gallon and word quickly spread. In no time at all, long lines formed at the pumps and soon police were called to the scene to try to get things under control.

I was looking at the pump prices on the way to work this morning, and of course gas is higher than it was yesterday along my route. The price of a gallon of gas in Abilene is now $3.69 at most locations, and by the time you read this, it will probably be a few cents higher.

We are now witnessing the highest prices for gasoline ever at this time of year. Nationwide the average as of yesterday, 2/28 was $3.38 per gallon.

You can't miss it. Prices at the pump are steadily going up, and up, and up.  We are already nearing $3 a gallon and the pundits are warning about $5 per gallon gas this summer.
