A Coroner’s Report Reveals Ronnie Montrose Committed Suicide

Guitarist Ronnie Montrose died a month ago, but the coroner’s report was just released yesterday. And it reveals that he committed suicide.

He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No drugs were found in his systembut he was VERY drunk. His blood-alcohol level was 0.31%, which is almost four-times the legal limit.

According to reports, Ronnie had battled clinical depression his whole life, he had been fighting prostate cancer for the past two years, and a friend says he was dealing with, quote, “personal demons” at the time of his death.
