Abilene Corporate Olympics Set For October for October 22nd

Let the games begin. It will soon be time to light the torch on the Abilene Corporate Olympics. Do you like to compete in sports? You'll certainly love this and it's open to the business community or anyone over 18.

It's an Olympics so big it's happening at 4 different venues. Dodge Jones Youth Sports Center, Abilene Country Club, Abilene Axe Company, and the SoDA district are all hosting events and activities.

The purpose of the event is to get the business community together for a great cause. The proceeds from the Abilene Corporate Olympics (a program of the Abilene Sports Alliance) are awarded to high school senior athletes with scholarships and grants to sporting events that compete in Abilene.

Some of the events to compete in during the Abilene Corporate Olympics include:

3v3 Basketball

Do you have what it takes on the court? Prove it.

Co-Ed Volleyball

Bump, Set, Spike. Get a team together for some great competition.

Pickleball

Pickleball. It's a funny name but a legit competition.

Axe Throwing

Get your inner lumberjack on with this competition.

Cornhole

Who doesn't love a good old-fashioned game of cornhole?

It's a full day of solid competition starting at 8:00 am with this schedule of events.

• 8:00 am - Basketball, Volleyball and DEKA Events
• 10:00 am - Pickleball
• 3:00 pm - Cornhole
• 4:00 pm - Axe Throwing
• 5:00 pm - After Hours Beer Relay
• 7:00 pm - Corporate Olympics Awards and Block Party
