ABBA’s Greatest Hits Come Alive Through ABRA Cadabra’s High Energy Performance
There are tribute shows, and then there are full-blown, glitter-covered celebrations. ABRA Cadabra definitely falls into that second category. And you'll be able to watch this celebration here in Abilene, Texas.
Marlie Collins, one of the talented performers bringing ABBA’s music to life onstage, recently joined me on KOOL FM 100.7 to talk about the show coming to Abilene. We discussed the music, the costumes, and the nearly impossible task of picking just one favorite ABBA song. You can scroll down to the bottom now to check out the full interview.

ABRA Cadabra Has Celebrated ABBA for 25 Years
ABRA Cadabra has been performing the timeless music of ABBA for more than 25 years, taking its high-energy production to audiences around the world.
Marlie explained that this isn’t simply a group standing onstage and playing cover songs. It’s a complete celebration of ABBA’s music, built around strong live vocals, those unmistakable harmonies and some of the catchiest songs ever recorded.
The production has performed at major venues around the globe and even entertained members of the Malaysian Royal Family. Not bad for a show powered by four Swedish musicians and enough sequins to confuse airport radar.
An ABBA Show for Several Generations
One of the coolest things about ABBA is how the music continues bringing different generations together. Kids, parents, and grandparents can all recognize the same songs, whether they discovered them through the original records, the Mamma Mia! movies, or somebody blasting “Dancing Queen” in the kitchen.
The Abilene performance will feature live vocals, a full band, dancers, colorful visuals, and multiple costume changes. Audience participation is encouraged, so feel free to sing, clap, and dance. Coordination appears to be optional.

ABRA Cadabra performs Tuesday, September 22, at 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Paramount Theatre in downtown Abilene. Tickets are available through the Paramount Theatre.
