Alice Cooper Defends Charlie Sheen

Alice Cooper said recently that he can relate to Charlie Sheen.

As most people know, Alice is a recovering alcoholic who has been sober for decades. But he remembers those drinking days.

Cooper stated that he was the most functional alcoholic anybody had ever seen. He knew he drank too much, and everybody knew he drank too much. But he never missed shows. And he always put his best into the music.

He did qualify his defense of Charlie however. Cooper indicated that he defends Charlie "on one level..if he's showing up to do his job on that show, and he's straight, and he knows his lines, and he's funny, and he's not a problem, I don't know how they can stop the show. He's actually fulfilling his contract".
