After 23 years on the air 'America's Most Wanted' airs its final episode on FOX-TV tonight. The show has been responsible for the capture of 1,153 fugitives. And the host, John Walsh, says he's not done yet.

Walsh made it a personal life mission to make a difference in apprehending some of the most reprehensible criminals after his own son was murdered. His tenacity and absolute focus have been responsible for not only the results in those 1,153 captures; but in the sucess of the show itself. He's a compelling narrator because he means it.

I've got to think that another network or cable channel will pick up the franchise. Walsh too is alluding to that possibility, saying 'It's a television show that gets ratings AND saves lives, and we'll find somewhere to keep going. We're not done yet.'

The show will continue online after tonight's (6/18) broadcast at AMW.com. (via tv.MSN.com)
