‘Game of Thrones’ Star Emilia Clarke Wants to Be the First Female James Bond
Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, Khaleesi, First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men; Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen has a lot of nicknames. But the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress is looking to add one more to her resume: James Bond. Or I should say, Jane Bond.

‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ Review: There’s No Wonder Here
Much of Tim Burton’s 2010 ‘Alice in Wonderland’ was a forgettable, unsavory mess, but it did have some redeemable qualities. The filmmaker’s eye-popping visuals and imaginative production design were the best aspects of the largely unbearable Disney movie. But you’ll find none of that in the new sequel.
Recapping the Realm: Hodor, Origin Stories and Time Travel on ‘Game of Thrones’ ‘The Door’
Wow. That was one of the most phenomenal and exhilarating episodes of Game of Thrones I’ve seen in a while. We learned so much that I wasn’t expecting to learn so soon this season – the origin of the White Walkers and the Night’s King – and we lost two prominent characters plus another direwolf. But first, Hodor, because who didn’t cry during that reveal and who doesn’t love Hodor to pieces? As many fan theories as I’ve read, I never came across one predicting that turn of events and while it may not sound that climactic on paper, it was pulled off incredibly well in such a heartbreaking and intense sequence.
A Trip Inside Beetle House, New York’s Spooky Tim Burton–Themed Restaurant
I’m a sucker for themed food and drinks, especially when it comes to movies. I once cooked a Louisiana-style feast with a friend around ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild,’ served hamburgers and Sunny-D for a group screening of ‘Juno,’ and crepes for one of ‘Midnight in Paris.’ So it only made sense that I jumped at the opportunity to check out the new Tim Burton-themed restaurant with a group of fellow film writers on Monday night.
‘Recapping the Realm’: A Reunion and Blazing Defeat in ‘Game of Thrones’ ‘Book of the Stranger’

You May Want Some Tissues For the New ‘The Light Between Oceans’ Trailer
The new Tomb Raider might be making her way into Hollywood blockbusters, especially with the upcoming Jason Bourne, but Alicia Vikander is still intent on using her acting skills to make you weep. If you thought she was done sweeping up awards last year, the woman-who-never-stops-making-movies has another likely awards season contender this fall in ‘The Light Between Oceans,’ and you may want to get some tissues for it.
Jeff Bridges’ Texas Ranger Hunts Chris Pine’s Bank Robber in ‘Hell or High Water’ Trailer
Most people probably don’t take the idiom ‘come hell or high water’ to the same extremes as Chris Pine and Ben Foster in their latest movie. While nothing may stop them from saving their family farm, Jeff Bridges’ Texas Ranger won’t let them get away with how they do.
The Latest ‘Game of Thrones’ Fan Theory Is Good News For the Starks
What is ‘Game of Thrones’ without fan theories? Now that the show is heading in completely unknown territory for both book and show fans, theorizing is more vital (and more exciting) than ever. After just three episodes into Season 6, there’s plenty left up to speculation. From a crazy theory about Bran and the Mad King to one about the return of a long-unseen character, here are the best theories to come out of Sunday night’s episode ‘Oathbreaker.’
‘Recapping the Realm’: Talking ‘Game of Thrones’ and That Jon Snow Twist in ‘Home’
Welcome to our inaugural edition of ‘Recapping the Realm,’ a weekly chat where we’ll be joined by two guest critics to talk all things ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6.
‘Star Wars’ Awakened the Force on Record Store Day
‘Star Wars’ fans and music nerds, unite! Record Store Day may be an annual tradition reserved for music enthusiasts, but the film world made sure to nudge its way in this year.
‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6: Everything You Need to Know For the Big Return
It’s an annual traditional we know all too well. Spending 10 weeks enraptured by the sex, blood and drama of the Seven Kingdoms, watching our favorite characters killed off by season’s end, then finding ways to survive a whole year without ‘Game of Thrones.’ Luckily we’re only days from the Season 6 premiere, but this year will be unlike the others. Now that the series has surpassed George R.R. Martin’s books, show and book fans, as well as critics, will enter ‘Game of Thrones’ knowing as much as Jon Snow. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be prepared; you should be very prepared.
