A Sony engineer in Japan has invented just what we need here in Texas right now - air conditioned clothing!  Hiroshi Ichigaya actually invented his air conditioned jackets in the wake of the Japanese earthquake to save power consumption from air conditioning in buildings.  He reasoned that if the clothing had fans built in to cool the core and evaporate sweat, that the need for a cool room would diminish. Ichigara says the jackets keep you cooler than even being naked!  (via ABCnews.go.com)

The sales of the air conditioned jackets have increased ten fold this year in Japan.  Now, where do I order a couple of these?  Would you wear an air conditioned jacket like this?    Check out the video to see the jackets in action.
