‘Glam Against Cancer’ to Benefit Cancer Services Network Oct. 13
Last year we told cancer to "Funk Off". This year we're going 'Glam' as we raise money for Cancer Services Network. 100% of the money we raise from this event stays local and helps area cancer patients and families.
UPDATE: Due to the potential rain on Saturday, we have moved the event to the Round Building at the Expo Center. If the rain holds off, we will still have the Poker Run, which will start at Kent's and end at the Round Building.
The Glam Against Cancer benefit will be from 11am-8pm this Saturday, October 13th.
The event will start off with a 'poker run' that morning.
- Registration at 10:30am
- First bike out: 11am
- Last bike out: 12pm
- Last bike in: 2pm
Following the poker run will be live music from 2 of the best tribute bands on the planet.
- CRUEligans - A Tribute to Motley Crue at 2:30pm
- KISS Destroyer at 5:30pm
Sandwiched between the bands will be a bra design contest and fashion show (at 4:30pm).
There will be a silent auction until 7:30pm. Bring plenty of money as we'll have a ton of awesome items up for grabs.
The Abilene Pin-Up Dolls will be on-site for photos and more.
Oh yeah, since this is "Glam Against Cancer", dress in your favorite 80s Glam.
Because we are trying to raise money, we would like to ask that everyone donate at least $5 when you come to watch the bands. It’s not required but we would really appreciate it. We will be “passing the hat”.
Huge thanks to the sponsor that helped make this event possible: Kent Beck Motors, 10:9 Design, Mercury Operating, Allied Employer Group, Garner Printing, CGS, and Craft Design.
