Carly Simon revealed that Mick Jagger stole a song he co-wrote with her during the time they were working together on 'You're So Vain'.  The story came to light as part of the new Mick Jagger book by Marc Spitz titled 'Mick Jagger: Rebel, Rock Star, Rambler, Rogue'.

Simon says that around the time Mick was laying down the harmony vocals for her biggest song, the two worked up a tune together called 'Till The Next Goodbye'.  That song later appeared on the Rolling Stones album 'It's Only Rock 'n Roll', credited to Jagger and Richards.

She says Mick never offered to share any of the royalties or the writing credit, but she's cool with it.  Simon says, 'It's the very least I can do to thank Mick for turning what could have been an ordinary record (You're So Vain) into an iconic and huge song for me over the years.'  Mick's background vocals gave the song a rougher edge and were a big part of the sound of its chorus.

As for the song she remains uncredited for, it wasn't a hit single from the Stones' album, but of course earned many thousands in royalties from the sale of 'It's Only Rock 'n Roll'.  Check out the song for yourself as performed by the Rolling Stones:
