Believe me. You can't make this stuff up. It was like any normal day. I pulled into work at the radio station. When it comes to my co-workers, I know what kind of car everyone drives. Almost instantly I'm able to tell who's at work and who's not by whose car is in the parking lot.

This particular morning there was a gold Honda Accord missing that belongs to our content editor. She's one of my favorite people on earth so I went in to inquire, concerned that something was wrong.

Indeed there was. Turns out her Honda Accord made the news. It was stolen from an Abilene neighborhood overnight and used to commit a crime. As Fox West Texas reports, the YesWay convenience store in Tye, Texas, was robbed at gunpoint, and a vehicle was spotted leaving the scene. That's when Tye Police became involved. A high-speed chase ensued at speeds over 120mph.

The Accord was later abandoned by the thieves, due to the swift action of law enforcement. One perpetrator was found and arrested. The other still remains at large. If you have any information on the whereabouts of the remaining suspect, you're encouraged to contact Tye Police.

Police informed my co-worker that the suspects likely used something called a "bump key" to start the car. Thankfully no one was injured during this overnight commotion.

So how did this crazy story with my co-worker end? As soon as the vehicle is released by the police, it will go into the shop for a thorough check-up and some minor repairs. Then it's back in action for the "Golden Girl" as it's affectionately called.
