Nascar season revs up with the running of the Daytona 500 on Sunday. I will admit that I'm not an avid Nascar fan, but I always end up watching a few laps of this one.
The sport has an incredible following, and if you've been to the Texas Motor Speedway, you get an idea of the sheer scale of the venues for races.
TMS dwarfs the new Cowboys stadium and seats almost three times as many people.
When I was there for a series of company meetings a couple of years back, we got the grand tour. It's an amazing facility that becomes literally a functioning city when hosting races. It's complete with a medical clinic, fire department, ambulance service, temporary housing (i.e. RV parking), and shopping centers.
See the Daytona 500 this Sunday, 2/20, at 12:30pm on FOX.
