One of Eddie Van Halen's guitars now resides in the Smithsonian. The guitar, known as 'Frank 2' was used during Van Halen's 2007/2008 tour with David Lee Roth back on vocals.

It's an exact copy of Eddies' original 'Frankenstein' which he customized extensively for his fiery playing style.

That original 'Frankenstein' guitar by the way, was retired in 2006 after 30 years of service.

Nice to have one of the signature axes in a historical museum, since Eddie arguably revolutionized and changed the voice of the electric guitar after the release of Van Halen's first album.
