Elton John To Host Saturday Night Live

For the first time in 29 years, Elton John will be on Saturday Night Live.  He is scheduled to host the show in fact....on April 2nd.

Elton is even agreeing to be in a few of the comedic skits on the show, which should be really inventive.

He's also the co-musical host with his touring buddy and collaborator Leon Russell.  Their 'Union' album has garnered rave reviews and solid sales.

Plus some of the tickets for the show were sold at Elton's Oscar party Sunday night for $75,000 each.  Proceeds will benefit his AIDS foundation.  Check out more detail here at tv.msn.com .
