As it turns out, Texas is a stomping ground for many famous people. Many successful folks have been born and bred in the Lone Star State. From actors to athletes, there is some serious talent that comes from Texas. It's also the final resting place for many of these famous people.

As a native Texan myself, I wanted to see some of the famous names who have been buried in our great state. With the help of Find a Grave, I came upon quite a list - athletes, historical figures, politicians, actors, and more. I even noticed some I had no idea were buried in Texas. Of course, no list is definitive. There are many more notable burials in Texas including politicians, historical figures, and more. As with many Texans, famous or not, I plan to be buried in the Lone Star State. There's no other place I'd rather be.
